The VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 Swiss Stage began with eight teams battling it out. After four intense days of action, only four teams have secured their spot in the Playoffs. These teams will now join the top seeds from each international league.

Starting tomorrow, June 13, the eight remaining teams will face off in a double-elimination bracket for a shot at the second Masters title of the year.

Opening Round Fixtures & Predictions

The Playoffs will kick off with the top seeds from each region taking on the challengers who advanced through the Swiss Stage. The action begins with G2 Esports vs. Paper Rex.

G2 Esports vs. Paper Rex [June 13 | 12:00 PM ET | 9:00 AM PT]

This opening match is a clash of contrasting playstyles. G2 Esports, the top seed from the Americas, has dominated their region with a methodical, macro-heavy approach. On the other hand, Paper Rex thrives in chaos, relying on explosive individual plays and aggressive fundamentals.

While Paper Rex has experience playing against disciplined teams, they haven’t looked as polished recently and will face an uphill battle against an in-form G2. With that in mind, we predict G2 Esports to win.

XLG Esports vs. Sentinels [June 13 | 3:00 PM ET | 12:00 PM PT]

Sentinels, the Americas’ #2 seed, arrive in the Playoffs after eliminating VCT CN’s #2 and #3 teams in the Swiss Stage. Their experience against Chinese teams could prove decisive as they now face China’s #1 seed, Xi Lai Gaming.

XLG Esports is entering this tournament without YOU, who was suspended before the event, limiting their preparation. With Sentinels’ recent momentum and strategic edge, Sentinels are expected to win this matchup comfortably.

Rex Regum Qeon vs. Wolves Esports [June 14 | 12:00 PM ET | 9:00 AM PT]

RRQ shocked the Pacific region by winning the Stage 1 title over heavyweights like Gen.G, T1, and Paper Rex. Their rise has been fueled by breakout star Jemkin and hometown favorite Invy.

Wolves Esports also turned heads by eliminating Team Heretics and BLG to reach the Playoffs. Riding that momentum, they’ll look to continue their run by upsetting RRQ.

While RRQ holds a slight edge on paper, the momentum and confidence of Wolves Esports might just carry them to a surprise victory.

Fnatic vs. Gen.G [June 14 | 3:00 PM ET | 12:00 PM PT]

This is arguably the tightest matchup of the opening round. Fnatic’s resurgence led them to win the EMEA Stage 1 title, while Gen.G enters fresh off a dominant Swiss Stage showing.

Both teams are familiar with each other’s playstyles and have enough veteran leadership to adapt on the fly. This will likely be a battle of adjustments and counter-strategies. Fnatic has a slight edge, but Gen.G is more than capable of taking this one. It’s a true 50/50.
