VALORANT Kuronami 2.0 Bundle: Skins, Price, Release Date, and More

VALORANT Kuronami 2.0 Bundle: Skins, Price, Release Date, and More

Riot Games has teased the return of a much-loved VALORANT skin collection: Kuronami 2.0. The second set of skins from this collection will arrive in-game with patch 12.08, and we now have an early look at what to expect. Featuring a blade named Naru-Kami as its centerpiece melee weapon, the collection is also expected to include skins for four additional weapons.

More than two years after its debut, the original Kuronami collection remains a community favorite. Players still praise its lineup of popular weapons like Vandal, Sheriff, Marshal, and Spectre. It also had a one-of-a-kind melee and an interactive and immersive finisher. Now, Kuronami 2.0 is rumored to bring back the magic with skins for the Phantom and Operator, plus another striking melee weapon.

While some details have yet to be officially confirmed, we've compiled every piece of official and reported information about the Kuronami 2.0 bundle below.

Kuronami 2.0: Everything We Know So Far

VALORANT Kuronami Naru-Kami Melee Leak

The Kuronami 2.0 bundle, similar to the previous collection, features skins for four weapons and a melee:

  • Ghost

  • Phantom

  • Guardian

  • Operator

  • Naru-Kami Melee

The weapon selection perfectly complements the previous collection, which featured skins for a handgun (Sheriff), a rifle (Vandal), a sniper rifle (Marshal), and an SMG (Spectre). And like the previous collection's unique melee, Kuronami 2.0 introduces a fresh take on melee weapon design.

The first Kuronami collection featured a dual-wielded chain-kunai set as its melee weapon, the first of its kind in VALORANT. It generated significant hype among players due to its design and inspect animation. Now, with the second bundle, we get something equally unique: a kunai that transforms into a blade.

The Naru-Kami melee starts as a kunai. Upon upgrading it to Level 2, you unlock its full animation and can enjoy it in its blade form. Switching between blade and kunai is seamless. Simply clicking the inspect button causes the kunai to expand into a blade as water (the bundle's core theme) takes the shape of a saber around the kunai. Clicking inspect again disperses the water into droplets, reverting the melee back to a kunai.

An interesting detail is that inspecting the unupgraded version of the Naru-Kami melee triggers an infinite spinning motion. With just one click, the kunai will continuously spin in a loop.

Upgrades and Variants

Weapon skins in the Kuronami 2.0 collection come with three tiers of upgrades, each costing 10 RP (Radianite Points). The first level adds sound effects, while the second introduces animation effects. Level 3 is the most sought-after, as it unlocks the exclusive and immersive finisher, which is a signature highlight of all Kuronami skins. The melee, however, comes with only one level of upgrade: its animation.

Matching the previous iteration, the Kuronami 2.0 skins share the same color scheme and additional variants: Purple, White, and Black. Each of these variants can be unlocked for 15 RP. As usual, you must unlock all three upgrade tiers before you can purchase a color variant.

Finisher

Kuronami 2.0 skins feature the same interactive finisher as the original collection. Upon eliminating the final opponent, the sky darkens, rain begins to fall, and the defeated enemy becomes encapsulated in a water bubble.

Here's where the interactive element comes in: for those unfamiliar with the Kuronami finisher, you can shoot the bubble during the sequence and burst it. This doesn't affect gameplay, but it adds to the immersion and is frankly a nice touch. Kuronami 2.0 brings back the same effects without any changes.

When Will Kuronami 2.0 Be Released?

The new Kuronami 2.0 collection was added with VALORANT Patch 12.08. The five skins, along with the player card, spray, and gun buddy, arrived on April 29, 2026. You can purchase the bundle or its individual items from the Featured section of the in-game store.

The Kuronami 2.0 bundle will expire on May 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. PDT / 8:00 p.m. CEST. After this, it will no longer be available in the Featured tab, and you must wait for the individual skins to appear in your rotating Offers section if you wish to purchase them.

Kuronami 2.0 Bundle Price Breakdown

The Kuronami 2.0 bundle costs 9,500 VP, a 41% discount from its full price of 16,225. Here are the individual items and their prices:

  • Phantom - 2,375 VP
  • Ghost - 2,375 VP
  • Guardian - 2,375 VP
  • Operator - 2,375 VP
  • Naru-Kami - 5,350 VP
  • Gun Buddy - 475 VP
  • Card - 575 VP
  • Spray - 325 VP

As mentioned, purchasing the bundle offers a significant discount. You only need to pay for the four weapon skins, while the melee skin and three additional cosmetics are included free of charge.

Additionally, some of the cosmetics come with extra features. For instance, the gun buddy will match the color of the equipped variant when used with any Kuronami skin. The player card, on the other hand, is animated (though the animation only plays in the main menu).
