The Biggest Winners Of Dota 2 Patch 7.41
Dota 2 patch 7.41 is here and it has shaken the meta to it's core. Facets have been removed, items reworked, nearly every hero has had an innate, skill, or mechanic changed somehow. It's a huge evolution for the game.
As usual with big patches, we have major winners and losers. In this article, we will be going through the biggest winners of Dota 2 patch 7.41. Along with discussing why you should be picking them in your pubs.
The biggest winners of Dota 2 patch 7.41
Wraith King

Improved Wraith Form, Lower cost on ultimate, higher lifesteal
Wraith King got a lot of love in the recent update. His innate went from 10% to 15% lifesteal at level one. Killing him in the lane is significantly more punishing as well, as Wraith Form now provides 20% movement speed (up from 10%), and 55 attack speed (rather than starting at 30 and scaling to 75).
This makes the hero's laning stage significantly harder to punish, leading to Wraith King getting a faster Radiance and snowballing to victory.
Defensively the hero also recieved a buff. No longer does he have to buy Aghanim's Shard, as his ultimate naturally reduces in mana cost.
It's plenty of buffs, and all for the cost of one armor. With a more stable laning performance, and more freedom in his itemization, Wraith King gained an impressive 5% increase in his win rate.
Doom

Better Innate, free healing in Scorched Earth, and upgraded Aghanim's Shard
Doom got plenty of love this patch. Which is ironic cause he is a demon who tortures other demons. Oh well, you can't pick who you love can you?
Doom's new innate deals 15% of the damage enemy heroes recieved over 2.5 seconds from Doom. This includes spell and attack damage. The 15% damage taken is in a radiues, and can impact other enemies. The AoE and damage is massively increased if the hero level is multiple of 6. This innate synergizes very well with Infernal Blade.
Another nice change is the return of extra regeneration during Scorched Earth. It scales from seven to ten at max level. Sine Scorched Earth is often maxed first, that is a lot of health regeneration for the laning stage. I highly doubt these numbers will remain the same and expect Valve to nerf it once Birmingham concludes.
The old Aghanim's Shard was a nice upgrade fro Scorched Earth but rarely worth it. The new one makes Devour significantly easier to use, while also buffing abilities gained and allowing you to eat ancient creeps. If 33 is buying, we don't question how good it is.
Naga Siren

Built in Evasion, Buffed talents, and no longer support viable
Naga Siren no longer suffers from an identity crisis. With the removal of facets, she has returned to her origins as a powerful (and annoying) illusion based core.
Eelskin provies 5% evasion for Naga and an additional 5% from her illusions. This scales to 8% at max level. It might look like a nerf from before, but Naga didn't have evasion unless she was near an illusion, now she gets evasion naturally, and more from each Illusion around her.
Her talents are better now as well. Reeling enemies in is even faster with the level 10 talent. Her lower cooldown on the ultimate means she can split push even more aggressively and get out unscathed.
Overall, with better talents, and a better innate, along with a focused role, Naga Siren wins 5.7% more matches in Dota 2 patch 7.41.
Leshrac

Massively buffed Edict, and an extremely strong item build
Leshrac is one of the winners of facet removal. Diabloic Edict damages towers and enemies but 20% faster than before. Instead of picking tower hitting but slower Edict, or a player only but more damaging one, Leshrac just got both, for free. Hooray!
One of the hero's most iconic builds is to get a Shiva's Guard to buff his damage, and a Bloodstone to stay alive. Both of these items have been reworked to be better than before. Bloodstone provides more health than ever, while bringing an aura that increases spell damage enemies take. Shiva's Guard is cheaper now, and pierces magic immunity.
While he only recieved one (albeit significant) line of text in the patch logs, thanks to his updated item build, Leshrac gained a huge 5.9% increase in his winrate.
Lifestealer

Huge buff to base stats, incredibly strong new innate, max health naturally increases, and Feast works on Ancients again
Phew, where to begin with Lifestealer. Nobody got as much love as he did from IceFrog. The long ignored carry got a ton of changes, all of them positive.
Firstly, like many big winners, Lifestealer's old innate was tranferred to Feast, providing him with one health per creep kill and up to 25 from heroes. It won't amount to thousands of health, but it's still a nice extra bit of meat on the bones.
The hero also recieved a brand new innate. Five attack speed per level up. This is on top of whatever he gets from items and agility. For a hero who relies on attacking to deal percentage damage and lifesteal, the extra attack speed is a massive buff.
Similar to Leshrac and Naga Siren, Lifestealer is returning to his roots. The hero's playstyle often centers around getting a fast Radiance and infesting an Ancient Creep. Well, that's back on the menu as an early powerspike for teams.
With multiple giant buffs, Lifestealer is the biggest winner of Dota 2 patch 7.41. He jumped more than 7% since the patch dropped and is amongst the strongest carries in the meta.
