The VALORANT sensation, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, will return to competitive VALORANT with Cubert Academy.

The two-time Masters winner will stand in for the Sentinels Academy team at the ACE NA Challengers Stage 2 Playoffs.

A Worthy Replacement

The Sentinels’ Academy roster features some of the strongest prospects in North American VALORANT. During the ACE NA Challengers Stage 2 Swiss stage, they lost only two games and are currently the frontrunners to win the whole thing.

Ahead of the Playoffs, the roster’s main controller, Logan “Skuba” Jenkins, was drafted by NRG—essentially fulfilling Cubert Academy’s purpose.

But with their controller missing, they needed to find a suitable replacement for their “graduated” teammate.

With limited time ahead of the tournament, they turned to TenZ, Sentinels’ old associate and a player who has played a role similar to Skuba.

A Return to the Server

With the move, TenZ will return to the server after almost a year. His last professional game was at VALORANT Champions 2024, back in August, and he had since announced his retirement from competitive play.

His return—however short—will give fans a nostalgic treat. There will definitely be a lot of fans tuning in to watch the NA superstar run it back once more.

The first Cubert Academy Playoff game starts tomorrow at 4:00 PM PT. Catch the action live on Twitch and YouTube. Tarik will also co-stream the game on his Twitch. You can also follow the game on Strafe.
