After acquiring Robin “ropz” Kool, Team Vitality is on an absolute rampage. The stacked roster, led by Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, looks poised to establish Counter-Strike 2’s first true dynasty. With three titles already under their belt, they’ve now shattered another milestone.

Earlier today, with a dominant win over Team Liquid, Team Vitality broke Astralis’ 2018-19 record of 18 consecutive series wins.

The Right Way to Kick-Start a Dynasty

Vitality has been practically unstoppable since ropz joined the lineup, replacing Spinx. They’re not just winning — they’re winning with confidence, consistency, and sheer firepower.

Today’s record-breaking win over Team Liquid was no different. Vitality absolutely dominated on Mirage — statistically their weakest map — before closing out the series with a strong performance on Nuke, starting with an 8-4 T-side half. They have also qualified for the IEM Melbourne 2025 playoffs.

Astralis, a team that once reinvented the meta, set the gold standard in Counter-Strike history. Their dominant form earned them three Major titles and a legacy as arguably the greatest team of all time.

Vitality, in contrast, is still a relatively young squad. It’s only been four months since their roster change, and yet, they’ve already broken a record set by one of CS:GO’s greatest dynasties. That alone sets the tone for what could be an even more dominant future.

Next in-line, will be Team Liquid's 23 series win record that helped them secure an Intel Grand Slam. If Team Vitality remain uncontested, they will break all the modern Counter-Strike esport records.

With the Austin Major on the horizon and the French-led squad showing no signs of slowing down, they’re the clear favorites to take the title. If this form continues, we may be witnessing not just the birth of a dynasty — but potentially the greatest one Counter-Strike has ever seen.

ESL Grand Slam Incoming?

Another massive milestone on Vitality’s road to dynasty status is the ESL Grand Slam. With three trophies already secured, they’re the closest any team has come in recent memory. If they win IEM Melbourne, they’ll head into IEM Dallas 2025 with a shot at closing it out — just ahead of the Austin Major. The momentum is on their side, and the opportunity is ripe.

Adding more pressure and excitement, ESL has announced a $100,000 bounty for any team that can deny Team Vitality an ESL trophy. But at this rate, Vitality could very well secure the Grand Slam before they even set foot on the Austin Major stage.

For now, Team Vitality’s journey and historic win streak continue at IEM Melbourne 2025. Follow the tournament live on Strafe.
