With Stage 2 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 now in the rearview mirror (and everyone's Pick'Em Challenge in ruins), the final 16 teams have emerged - eight elite squads invited directly and eight battle-tested survivors from the previous stage. This is Stage 3: the last Swiss gauntlet before the playoffs, where every round could spell glory or heartbreak for your Pick’Em predictions.

Before the first flash pops in Austin on June 12, there’s still time to lock in your Stage 3 Pick’Ems. Whether you’re chasing the legendary Diamond Coin, those coveted souvenir packages, or just redemption from earlier rounds, this guide is here to help you make the smartest calls possible.

A Humble Disclaimer

Stage 2 reminded us all: nothing is sacred in Counter-Strike Pick’Ems. Underdogs like Legacy and Lynn Vision defied the odds, while big names stumbled. If your confidence is shaken (again), you’re not alone. Stage 3 brings even higher stakes - and yes, even more room for chaos.

How the Pick’Em Challenge Works (Stage 3 Edition)

The rules remain familiar, but the pressure is higher. To complete Stage 3, you need five correct picks out of ten:

  • Two “3-0” teams – The squads that will sweep through undefeated.
  • Six teams to advance (3-1/3-2) – They’ll survive, even if they stumble along the way.
  • Two “0-3” teams – The ones who’ll be booking an early flight home.

Strategy tip: The 3-0 and 0-3 slots are high risk, high reward. Most of your points will come from the six advancement picks, so prioritize reliability there.

Opening Matches

To make fully informed decisions, here's the complete list of Stage 3 opening matches (June 12):

Our Stage 3 Pick’Em Predictions

3-0 Picks

  • Vitality: The French powerhouse is in unstoppable form. With ZywOo at his peak and the team’s tactical discipline, they’re the safest 3-0 pick in the field. Their opening matchups are favorable, and they rarely falter in Swiss stages.
  • MOUZ: MOUZ’s blend of firepower and structure has made them one of the most consistent teams in 2025. Their path through the bracket looks manageable, and their recent performances suggest they can go flawless.

Advancement Picks (3-1/3-2)

  • paiN: The Brazilian squad has shown grit and upset potential. Their run through the lower bracket in previous stages proves they can hang with the best.
  • FURIA: Another Brazilian team with big-stage experience and a knack for clutching out elimination matches. Their aggressive style can overwhelm less disciplined opponents.
  • NAVI: Despite some recent inconsistency, NAVI’s experience and firepower make them a reliable pick to advance.
  • The MongolZ: The best from Asia, MongolZ have consistently punched above their weight at international events. Their tactical depth and confidence make them a strong advancement pick.
  • Team Spirit: With sh1ro and donk leading the charge, Spirit’s firepower and tactical flexibility should see them through, even if they drop a match or two.
  • FaZe: A perennial threat, FaZe’s experience and clutch factor often see them through tough Swiss stages. Even if they stumble early, they’re likely to recover.

0-3 Pick

  • 3DMAX: While they’ve had moments of brilliance, the jump in competition at this stage might be too much. Their lack of experience against top-tier teams could see them go winless.
  • Nemiga: Nemiga’s run so far has been impressive, but the step up in opposition is steep. They’re likely to struggle against the elite teams in this group.

These picks are the result of bracket simulations, matchup history, and a healthy dose of respect for Stage 2’s upsets. We recommend running your own simulations too because, in Stage 3, anything can happen and nothing is guaranteed.

Lock It In and Hope for the Best

Stage 3 begins June 12, marking what is perhaps the most crucial and unpredictable part of the Pick’Em challenge. Now’s the time to double-check your picks, trust your instincts, and maybe light a candle for your Diamond Coin dreams. Whether you’re aiming for glory or just hoping your bracket survives the Swiss chaos, this is your chance - so lock in your choices, cross your fingers, and get ready for the action!
