PGL Bucharest 2025 Playoffs: Teams, Matches, Schedule, Results, Predictions and More
The first half of the PGL Bucharest 2025 is behind us. After an intense Swiss stage that had surprises all along the way, we have the final eight teams that will compete for the silverware starting Friday, April 11th.
The eight teams qualified for the PGL Bucharest 2025 Playoffs are:
These teams will now compete in a single elimination bracket tournament starting tomorrow. The teams are seeded as per their Swiss Stage performance, with the highest seed facing the lowest seed, and so on.
The complete schedule and fixture for the Playoffs bracket is as follows:
- April 11th 09:00 am: GamerLegion vs. Team Falcons (Bo3)
- April 11th 12:00 pm: FaZe Clan vs. 3DMAX (Bo3)
- April 11th 03:00 pm: Aurora Gaming vs. Complexity (Bo3)
- April 11th 06:00 pm: G2 Esports vs. Virtus.pro (Bo3)
- April 12th 04:00 pm: Semifinals #1 (Bo3)
- April 12th 07:00 pm: Semifinals #2 (Bo3)
- April 13th 02:00 pm: Third place decider (Bo3)
- April 14th 05:00 pm: Grand Final (Bo5)

Battle to challenge the top - PGL Bucharest 2025 Playoffs predictions
Without the biggest competitors of Team Vitality, MOUZ, and Team Spirit missing from action, the PGL Bucharest 2025 is truly a competition to find out the strongest challenger for the top 3 of Counter-Strike.
The favorites falter
Ahead of the tournament, The MongolZ and Eternal Fire were the top contenders to win the tournament. Compared to their peers, these teams had displayed skills that could put a dent in the top 3, and this was their tournament to lose.
Now that the first stage of the tournament is behind us, we have lost to the MongolZ once again. Despite the immense skill of the Mongolian roster, they have been succumbing to the pressure and have missed another Playoffs. If they wish to make another deep Major run, they have to sort it out before the next tournament.
Now the other candidate, Eternal Fire, are missing in name, as they are now Aurora, but in terms of performance, they are still the same straight shooters. They did lose to 3DMAX, but the French team has been having a great run. Aurora still has a strong chance to win this tournament and are still the frontrunners.
Unexpected candidates
Despite their performance not translating to a deep Playoffs run until now, 3DMAX is arguably a great team to cheer for. The French roster is making strides and developing into a threat to the upper echelon of Counter-Strike. If they keep up their performance, they can become one of the biggest challengers.
With the m0nesy exit rumor, it seems the young Russian is giving it all to give a final trophy to his first tier 1 team. While G2 look much stable, the Playoffs is the time when they are at their shakiest, and facing Virtus.pro will definitely be a test.
The biggest surprise of the tournament is the improved performance of Complexity. But now the team needs to perform against Aurora to even get past the quarterfinals. Irrespective of how their run ends up, they are trying to put NA back on the map, unlike a stallion racing away from the top-tier of CS.
Still in the race?
Lastly, FaZe Clan and Team Falcons continue to disappoint. They did make it out of the Swiss Stage, but had to get through several hardships, and will have to step up their game to go deeper. FaZe Clan does have the resources and the ability, but Falcons look to be headed towards an implosion as management sacks another player in search of a trophy.
With the Major announced, the teams will continue to get into better shape and get in those reps to stand up to the three overlords of current Counter-Strike.
