PARIVISION Will Miss BLAST Slam VII Due to Visa Issues

PARIVISION has visa issues, and despite BLAST's help, they were unable to get to Copenhagen in time. This means that we have new seeds in the Playoffs, and Team Liquid escapes the jaws of elimination.

Let's take a look at the announcement tweets released by both organizations, how the seeding was redistributed, the new schedule for the Playoffs, and what interesting new matchups we get from these changes.

PARIVISION and BLAST: Two Announcements

PARIVISION announced on June 2 at 13:00 GMT that they would not compete in the BLAST Slam VII Playoffs. Their forfeit was motivated by visa issues that would render them unable to arrive at the venue by the deadline set by the tournament regulations.

At the same time, BLAST also made a post on their official Twitter profile (@BLASTDota), clarifying that Team Liquid would benefit from these changes as the first "uneliminated" team in 2026.

This means that Team Liquid will take BetBoom Team's former slot in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, and BetBoom Team will take PARIVISION's former slot in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

New BLAST Slam VII Playoff Schedule

Due to these changes, BLAST also released an updated schedule adapted to reflect the new matchups:

• June 4 — 09:00 GMT — Team Yandex vs. Aurora Gaming
• June 4 — 12:30 GMT — Team Falcons vs. Team Liquid
• June 4 — 16:00 GMT — LGD Gaming vs. Yandex/Aurora
• June 5 — 09:00 GMT — BetBoom Team vs. Falcons/Liquid

Great Matchups Made by Destiny

This new schedule also means we have new matchups on the first day of the Playoffs. We have a couple of European matchups that could be considered classic clashes among regional rivals.

Team Yandex vs. Aurora Gaming

After the changes, the new Eastern European "classico" will open the first day of the Playoffs, with Yandex facing Aurora. Team Yandex had a great performance at ESL One Birmingham and lost the Grand Final against former Tundra Esports players.

On the other side of the map, Aurora Gaming has better results in more recent events (runner-up at Wallachia Season 8 and DreamLeague Season 29), and they also won their matchup against Yandex during the BLAST Slam VII Group Stage.

Team Falcons vs. Team Liquid

This is yet another great matchup featuring the current TI champions and the former TI champions. Team Falcons has the upper hand in terms of tournament results and head-to-head history.

Team Liquid comes back from "the dead" to try to replicate their Group Stage performance and defeat Team Falcons once again, this time in a best-of-3 series that will decide who faces BetBoom Team in the Semifinals.

Closing Thoughts

BLAST Slam VII was already full of surprises during the Group Stage, and now things have become even more twisted, with PARIVISION being forced to give up their slot in favor of BetBoom Team and Team Liquid returning from elimination.

If Liquid ends up winning BLAST Slam VII, I believe this will be a unique event in Dota 2 history that may take a long time to be replicated, since these are very unusual circumstances.
