If you've been following Overwatch esports, you already know the OWCS World Finals 2025 is the tournament to watch this week. What you might not realize is that Blizzard is basically handing out free cosmetics to anyone willing to tune in, and we're talking about some genuinely cool stuff here.

The catch? You need to know exactly what you're doing to actually get them.

The tournament brings together the 12 best teams from Asia, China, EMEA, and North America, all competing in a double-elimination bracket that runs from November 26 through 30 at DreamHack Stockholm. Five straight days of intense competition means five straight days of drops you can claim, but only if you're connected and watching the right streams.

Getting Set Up: Link Your Account First

Before you watch a single match, you need to connect your Battle.net account to either Twitch or YouTube. This is literally the most important step, and it's easy to overlook.

Connecting to Twitch is straightforward:

  • Head to your Battle.net "Account Overview";
  • Find the "Connections" tab, scroll down to Twitch, and click "Connect".
  • Follow the prompts, authorize the connection, and you're done. It takes maybe 30 seconds.

YouTube setup is just as simple:

  • Log into your YouTube account, go to "Settings", click "Connected Apps";
  • Find Battle.net, and hit "Connect".
  • Again, just authorize it and move on.

Don't skip this step thinking you'll do it later. You won't. Just do it now.

Where to Actually Watch

This matters more than you'd think as not every Overwatch stream will get you drops. You need to watch on the official Overwatch Esports Twitch channel or the official YouTube channel.

Blizzard also allows drops through co-streaming: so if you want commentary from any authorized streamers, you'll still get drops. Last, but not least, Blizzard expanded the drops to happen at any Twitch channel under the Overwatch 2 category (only in Twitch though). Watching random streams in the internet won't get you anything.

The Daily Grind: What Drops When

Here's where it gets interesting. Every single day has different drops tied to different heroes, and they unlock based on how long you watch. The more hours you invest, the better the rewards. Let me break down what's available each day:

November 26 (Brigitte)

Start with a loot box at just half an hour watched. Keep going and you unlock some Swedish-themed sprays, a couple of battle pass tier skips, and the real prize—both the OWCS Home and Away Brigitte skins at 3.5 and 4.5 hours respectively. If you're willing to grind all five hours, there's a name card waiting.

November 27 (Torbjörn)

Similar structure here. Half hour gets you a loot box, then you've got Torbjörn-specific cosmetics building up to his full skin set. The pattern repeats with name cards, sprays, and tier skips sprinkled throughout.

November 28 (Ana)

This day requires more commitment if you want the good stuff. You're looking at 7-8 hours to unlock both Ana skin variants. But if you're into Ana, these skins are genuinely worth the watch time.

November 29 (Hazard)

Another solid day with hero skins at the 7-8 hour mark. You'll also unlock some fun sprays—Fika Break Spray shows up here, which is a cute Swedish reference.

November 30 (Wuyang and D.Va)

The final day packs in rewards, including both Wuyang skins, both D.Va skins, and an epic loot box if you make it the full distance. Plus you get the OWCS Dalahäst weapon charm, which is a nice collectable.

Across all five days, you're potentially getting six loot boxes, four battle pass tier skips, eight complete hero skins in Home and Away variants, and a bunch of theme cosmetics. That's legitimately valuable stuff.

How to Claim OWCS World Finals Drops

Here's the thing nobody told you: drops don't just magically appear in your game. You have to claim them. After you've watched long enough to unlock something, head to either the Twitch Drops page or the YouTube Drops page (depending on where you watched). Find the OWCS World Finals 2025 campaign, and manually click Claim on whatever you've unlocked.

It can take up to 24 hours for items to show up in your actual Overwatch 2 account, so don't panic if they're not there immediately. They'll arrive.

If You're Actually Going to Stockholm

If you're one of the people actually attending DreamHack Stockholm, there's an OWCS Add-On package that automatically includes all five days' worth of drops plus three exclusive attendee cosmetics:

DreamHack opens at 10am CET Friday through Sunday, running until midnight on Friday and Saturday, then closing at 7pm on Sunday. You'll also get access to player meet-and-greets and behind-the-scenes stuff if you grab a VIP ticket.

The Easy Wins

Even if you don't want to commit five hours every single day, you can log into your Overwatch 2 account and grab the Champion Bling and OWCS Trophy weapon charms automatically. They're just sitting there waiting for you to claim them.

Ready to Enjoy OWCS World Finals AND Win Cool Prizes While Doing it?

Look, if you're already planning to watch the OWCS World Finals anyway, you might as well get the drops. The connection takes 30 seconds, and you're literally getting free cosmetics just for doing what you'd be doing anyway. The hero skins are actually well-designed, especially the Brigitte ones with that Swedish Dalahäst aesthetic.

Set up your connection now, bookmark the official streams, and pick which days' cosmetics matter most to you. If you're only going to commit a few hours, focus on the days with heroes you actually play. But if you can swing it, five hours a day for five days gets you a seriously stacked cosmetic collection.
