Gridlock in Rainbow Six Siege is a strong area control operator built for holding ground and slowing enemies. She combines mechanical skill, combat training, and powerful trap deployment.

This guide covers her background, weapons, and how her Trax Stingers work in detail.

Who Is Gridlock?

Gridlock’s real name is Tori Tallyo Fairous. She was born on August 5, 1982, in Longreach, Central Queensland, Australia.

She stands 5'10" (1.77m) tall and weighs 225 lbs (102 kg). Her size supports her medium armor role and steady presence on the field.

Gridlock has served in the SASR, Rainbow, and later joined REACT during the Chimera crisis. She unlocked at Milestone 17.

Gridlock’s Background and Role

When the Chimera Parasite resurfaced, REACT needed operators who could operate independently. Gridlock’s experience in robotics, intelligence gathering, and multiple weapon systems made her a practical choice.

Her expertise in mechanical systems connects directly to her trap-based gadget. She focuses on area control and enemy denial.

Psychological evaluations describe her as calm and grounded. Her steady mindset supports team stability during high-risk missions.

Gridlock’s Ability: Trax Stingers

Gridlock uses Trax Stingers, anti-personnel traps that spread across the ground after deployment. These traps slow and damage enemies who step on them.

At base level, she carries three Trax Stingers. They slow enemies by 45% and deal 100 damage.

A fully deployed Trax Stinger creates up to 19 hexagonal patches. A new patch deploys every half second, and full deployment takes eight seconds.

Each patch has a diameter of about half a meter. If a patch cannot expand fully, it spreads as much as possible. If space is too small, the patch will not form.

Heavy enemies such as Smashers can destroy patches by walking through them. Any damage source can destroy a patch, including enemy attacks.

At higher operator levels, Trax Stingers improve:

  • Level 2: Trap count increases to 4 and deploys faster

  • Level 7: Damage increases to 200 and slow increases to 75%

  • Level 10: Trap count increases to 5 and traps explode when destroyed, strong enough to stagger a Smasher

If a patch is destroyed during deployment, it stops expanding further. Other patches continue deploying in order.

Gridlock’s Loadout

Gridlock has access to the following weapons:

Primary Weapons:

  • F90 Assault Rifle

  • M249 SAW Light Machine Gun (Level 3)

  • Commando 9 Assault Rifle (Level 9)

Secondary Weapons:

  • SDP-9 Handgun

  • Super Shorty Shotgun (Level 6)

Her weapon options allow flexible playstyles. The M249 SAW supports sustained fire, while the F90 and Commando 9 provide strong assault rifle control.

Gameplay Overview

Gridlock fits the area control role. Her Trax Stingers block pathways, slow advancing enemies, and create safe zones for teammates.

She performs well when defending objectives or preparing for incoming waves. Her traps soften enemies before direct engagement.

At higher levels, her upgraded traps become a stronger deterrent. The added explosion at Level 10 adds extra crowd control.

Gridlock rewards positioning and planning. Players who control choke points and movement routes gain the most value from her kit.

Why Gridlock Matters in REACT Missions

Gridlock in Rainbow Six Siege provides consistent control over enemy movement. Her traps reduce pressure and create time for the team to respond.

Her balanced armor, weapon access, and scalable ability make her reliable across different mission types.

Players who want steady area denial and structured defense will find Gridlock a dependable operator choice.
