MIBR Reportedly Secures VCT Americas 2027 Partnership
MIBR has reportedly secured its place in the VCT Americas partnership program for 2027 and 2028. According to reports published on Monday (October 19), the Brazilian organization was selected to remain in Riot Games' top-tier VALORANT circuit, which will feature eight partnered teams per region starting next year.
The news was reported by Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis and his team at Sheep Esports, and independently confirmed by THESPIKE Brasil journalist Bruno Povoleri. Riot Games reportedly informed organizations of the results on Sunday (October 18), following Champions 2026.
MIBR is expected to remain in VCT Americas alongside fellow Brazilian organization LOUD, which officially confirmed its renewal on Monday. FURIA, meanwhile, was reportedly left out of the new cycle.
Unlike LOUD, MIBR had not publicly announced its selection at the time of writing.
MIBR's Investment and Recent Results
MIBR has been part of VCT Americas since 2023, but its first two seasons brought limited success. The organization's results improved significantly in 2025 following the arrival of Erick "aspas" Santos, who helped the team qualify for Masters Toronto and Champions Paris.
At Champions, MIBR reached the playoffs and defeated Team Heretics before falling to NRG and DRX, finishing fifth-sixth.
The organization invested in another roster overhaul for 2026, bringing in Zachary "zekken" Patrone, Andrew "Verno" Maust, Roberto "Mazino" Rivas, and Ian "tex" Botsch alongside aspas.
Despite the investment, MIBR did not qualify for an international VCT event in 2026. The team finished third at Kickoff and was later eliminated from Stage 2 playoffs by LOUD, missing out on Champions.
What Helped MIBR Secure Another Partnership?
According to Sheep Esports, MIBR's continued investment in VALORANT, its Champions 2025 appearance, and the performance of its Game Changers roster supported the organization's application.
The Game Changers team finished among the top three at the 2025 Game Changers Championship, strengthening MIBR's competitive record beyond the main VCT circuit.
The report also highlighted Riot Games' evaluation criteria, including fan engagement, competitive performance, regional results, and long-term commitment. MIBR's star player aspas remains under contract through the end of 2027, according to Sheep Esports.
If confirmed, the renewed partnership will give MIBR another two years in Riot Games' partner program, with access to financial support, in-game revenue sharing, and direct entry into Kickoff under the new competitive format.
