M80 has created history! At the BLAST R6 Munich Major 2025, the North American squad completed one of, if not the greatest, Cinderella run in R6 history to lift a trophy.

With the win, Fabian increases his R6 title tally to five, further cementing his legacy as Rainbow Six Siege’s God Emperor.

Cinderella Once More!

After dominating North America Stage 2, M80 came into the Munich Major as a team ready for a challenge. The opening Swiss Stage was extremely favorable as they secured wins over G2 Esports, FaZe Clan and Team Secret to qualify for the Playoffs as the top seed.

The Playoffs, however, completely flipped the script. M80 lost their opening match 0–2 to FaZe Clan, dropping them to the lower bracket. This meant that if they wished to reach the Grand Finals, they would have to win every single game — a true Cinderella run.

Thankfully, M80 had the God Emperor guiding the former Beastcoast core, known for their underdog run in Manchester, meaning the run was afoot.

With their backs against the wall, M80 took down Team Secret, Wildcard and FaZe Clan to reach the Grand Finals against the undefeated Team Falcons.

M80 Win the R6 Munich Major 2025

The only team standing between M80 and the Major title was Team Falcons, who entered the Grand Finals completely untouched. Much like M80, they dominated the Swiss Stage and then followed it up with wins over G2 Esports and FaZe Clan to secure their spot. While both teams looked strong, the odds slightly favored the Falcons' indomitable run.

The clash between two contrasting tournament journeys began on Nighthaven Labs, Falcons’ pick. M80’s preparation into their opponent’s pick paid dividends as they closed it out 8-7 in OT.

Falcons struck back convincingly on Skyscraper, but M80 answered with a razor-close victory on Chalet. Riding that momentum into Consulate, their map pick, M80 closed the series 7–5, sealing a 3–1 win and lifting the Munich Major trophy.

From the lower bracket to winning it all, M80 have completed one of the greatest Cinderella run's in the R6 history.
