VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).

Is VALORANT Crossplay on PC and Console?

There is no crossplay between PC and console in VALORANT. Riot Games made a deliberate decision to keep the two platforms completely separate, primarily to protect competitive fairness.

Mouse and keyboard players have a significant advantage over controller users, so Riot has chosen to give console its own distinct ecosystem which includes custom gameplay adaptations like the Focus mechanic. For a full breakdown of how console VALORANT works, see our VALORANT console guide.

Is VALORANT Console Crossplay?

Yes, PS5 and Xbox players are in the same matchmaking pool. They compete against each other by default with no setting required.

Why Doesn't VALORANT Have PC and Console Crossplay?

Riot has been clear about why VALORANT came to console as a standalone experience rather than a crossplay extension of the PC game. Mixing mouse-and-keyboard and controller inputs in competitive matches creates inherent skill gaps that would compromise fairness.

Console VALORANT was specifically engineered with separate gameplay adaptations to make it a complete and balanced experience on its own terms. Riot has confirmed there are currently no plans to introduce PC-console crossplay.

Does VALORANT Have Cross-Progression?

Your VALORANT account and its progress is the same across PC, PS5, and Xbox. This means that skins you buy on PC can be used on console and vice versa, and all forms of Battle Pass progress, agent unlocks, and Radiant Points on the same account sync between PC and console.

Is VALORANT Ranked Crossplay?

Competitive/Ranked mode separates PC and console players in VALORANT just like every other mode. Console Ranked is console-only; PC ranked is PC-only. Your rank on PC is different from your rank on console even on the same account.

If you’re new to competitive, check out our VALORANT ranks explained guide to understand how the ranking system works.

What Is the 'Crossplay Mismatch' Warning in VALORANT?

The 'Crossplay Mismatch' warning in VALORANT appears when the game thinks two or more players in the party are playing the game on different platforms. This can be the case when players are using mixed input methods (some using controller, some using mouse/keyboard via adapter or something similar), or because players are using different version of the game.

Note that the 'Crossplay Mismatch' warning does NOT mean you are matched against PC players.

Is VALORANT Crossplay in Custom Games?

Custom games keep PC and console players separate, just like every other game mode in VALORANT. PC players cannot invite console players to a custom lobby, and vice versa.

Is VALORANT Mobile Crossplay?

Crossplay between mobile and PC/console is not available in VALORANT. This is because VALORANT mobile has only officially launched in China, where the game is in a public beta state.

A global rollout for VALORANT mobile has not yet been announced by Riot Games. No crossplay between mobile and PC/console has been announced either.

Is Crossplay Coming to VALORANT? (PC and Console)

Riot has not announced any plans to introduce crossplay between PC and console in VALORANT.

There is no public roadmap or timeline for introducing it, but we will update this article if Riot announces any changes.

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
