We've broken it all down so you don't have to: here's our IEM Cologne Major Stage 2 Pick'Em Challenge Guide!

As always, these are educated picks based on recent form, tournament results, and overall team quality. Stage 2 is a different beast from Stage 1, and the competition only gets tougher from here.

How the Pick'Ems Work

Stage 2 also runs on a 16-team Swiss system. You need to predict which team goes 3-0 (a perfect run), which teams finish 3-1 or 3-2 (advancing to Stage 3), and which team exits at 0-3. The more accurate your picks, the more rewards you unlock, including a shot at the Diamond Coin.

IEM Cologne Major Stage 2 Pick'Ems: STRAFE's Predictions

Pick'ems Stage 2

3-0: Built Different

Team Spirit: Yes, Spirit heads into Stage 2 without their coaches, who are unavailable due to hospitalization and visa issues. That's a genuine challenge for any team. But this is Team Spirit we're talking about. The kind of team that tends to find a way regardless. Backing them 3-0 here is absolutely on the table, and a clean sweep would send a statement that even adversity can't slow them down.

Legacy: Legacy's run in 2026 has been remarkable. They shocked Team Falcons to claim back-to-back CS Asia Championship titles, and they arrive at Stage 2 on a wave of momentum few teams can match. They have shown they can face anyone on a good day, and right now they're on a very good stretch. Don't be surprised if they cruise through Stage 2 without dropping a series.

3-1 / 3-2: Getting Through, One Way or Another

BetBoom: BetBoom earn their spot in Stage 2 the hard way, and that's exactly how they play. They're not the flashiest team in the bracket, but they're consistent and difficult to put away. Don't expect them to run the table, but do expect them to grind out enough wins to advance. A 3-1 or 3-2 finish fits their profile perfectly.

GamerLegion: GamerLegion were one of the standout performers of Stage 1, and they won't suddenly forget how to play Counter-Strike. REZ, Snax, and the rest of the squad have the individual quality to make things uncomfortable for anyone they face in Stage 2. They won't go 3-0 again, but advancing at 3-1 or 3-2 is a realistic and achievable outcome for a team that's been locked in all tournament.

paiN Gaming: paiN are one of the most exciting Brazilian teams heading into Stage 2. Their talented lineup has shown real firepower in the build-up to this Major. They'll face tougher opponents than they saw in Stage 1, but Brazilian teams tend to show up when it matters most. A 3-1 or 3-2 run feels just right for a squad with something to prove on the biggest stage.

Astralis: Astralis have been quietly rebuilding their identity, and the results have started to reflect that investment. They're not the dynasty they once were, but they're a structured, disciplined team that knows how to compete at a Major. Don't sleep on them. Getting through at 3-1 or 3-2 is very much within reach for a side that performs under pressure.

FUT Esports: This might be the most fascinating story of Stage 2. FUT walked into PGL Bucharest 2026 as underdogs and walked out as champions, winning the organization's first-ever tier 1 title in Counter-Strike. The confidence that comes from a run like that is real. They know they can beat anyone on a given day, and Stage 2 is their chance to back it up. Expect nervy moments, but expect them to advance.

G2 Esports: G2 have the firepower to make life difficult for anyone in this field and a lineup that can shift gears in a heartbeat. The consistency hasn't always been there in 2026, but at a Major, G2 tend to step it up when it counts. A 3-1 or 3-2 finish is the right call for a team that rarely disappoints when the lights are brightest.

0-3: The Hard Exits

FlyQuest: Qualifying for Stage 2 is already a meaningful achievement for FlyQuest, and no one should take that away from them. But the step up in competition here is steep. Stage 2 features some of the best teams in the world, and FlyQuest, despite their effort and heart, simply don't have the firepower to match what they'll face round after round. A 0-3 exit is the hard but honest read.

TYLOO: TYLOO representing Chinese CS2 at a Major is always a moment worth celebrating. They battled their way into Stage 2, and that speaks to their discipline and determination. But the level of competition in this bracket is a different animal entirely. Running into the top teams in Europe and the Americas without a tactical breakthrough is a tough ask. Picking them 0-3 is respecting the gap, not dismissing the effort.

Strafe's Final Pick'Ems Sheet

  • 3-0: Team Spirit, Legacy
  • 3-1 / 3-2: BetBoom, GamerLegion, paiN Gaming, Astralis, FUT Esports, G2 Esports
  • 0-3: FlyQuest, Tyloo

Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 runs from June 6 to 9. Eight teams will earn their tickets to Stage 3, and eight will be heading home early.

Lock in your picks, trust the process, and may the Diamond Coin be yours.
