Canadian Counter-Strike superstar Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken has officially returned to FaZe Clan.

The shocking news follows Team Liquid’s announcement of the rifler’s departure post Fissure Playground #2.

Back to Winning Ways

After winning a Counter-Strike Major, Intel Grand Slam and multiple S-tier trophies, Twistzz departed from FaZe at the top of his game to join Team Liquid. Despite the considerable hype behind the move, the following season was anything but. Since Twistzz joined them at the start of 2024, Team Liquid had a year and a half of progressively worse results.

Especially after one of the most successful stints of his career on FaZe, the Liquid run was utter disappointment.

FaZe Clan themselves did not win any notable trophies, but had two successful Major runs in 2024. After ropz’s departure, though, they barely qualify as Tier 1. They were trying to find their groove with jcobbb replacing EliGE, but they were still nowhere close to their former glory.

Who Will Twistzz Replace?

At this point, FaZe Clan or the players haven’t announced who’d be cut from the team to make way for Twistzz. Rain or Karrigan look like the most obvious contenders, but both are essential pieces for the FaZe roster and likely won't be replaced.

Broky and frozen are the two top performers for the team and unlikely to be benched. While jcobbb is the newest piece, his best years might still be ahead of him. But he does seem like the most logical choice at this moment.

While we do not know who is getting replaced, FaZe Clan have confirmed Twistzz will officially return to the active roster at ESL Pro League Season 22.
