Esports World Cup 2024 Warzone: Format, Schedule, Teams and More

The Esports World Cup 2024 Call of Duty: Warzone officially kicks off tomorrow. The Battle Royale will feature 21 teams around the world taking on each other for a lion’s share of the coveted $1M US prizepool.

Let’s go over the details of the tournament including the teams playing.

Esports World Cup 2024 - Warzone: Format & Prizepool

The tournament will be divided into three stages; Solo Seeding Stage, Group Stage and Finals.

Solo Seeding Stage:

The first stage of competition will feature the players competing individually to garner maximum points. The 21 teams will be divided into three groups of 21 players each.

The players will compete in the ‘Solo Resurgence’ to amass as many points as possible in four games. The team’s total score will be the combined score of each individual player. Teams will be seeded into groups A, B or C based on the combined score.

Group Stage:

Each group of seven teams will play every other group once. These group clashes will feature four games of ‘Trios Resurgence’ each, resulting in a team playing a total of eight games.

Top 14 teams after the conclusion of the Group Stage games will advance to the finals.

Finals

The 14-team Finals will take on each other in eight games of ‘Trios Resurgence’. The team with the most points will win the Esports World Cup 2024 Call of Duty Warzone title.

Prizepool and points:

The tournament boasts a massive 1 Million USD prizepool. Additionally, the organization winning the title recieves additional points towards the EWC Club Championship. The distribution of the World Cup prize and points for the top eight teams are as follows:

  • 1st Place - $200,000 / 1000points
  • 2nd Place - $150,000 / 600 points
  • 3rd Place  - $100,000 / 350 points
  • 4th Place - $80,000 / 200 points
  • 5th Place - $60,000 / 110 points
  • 6th Place - $50,000 / 70 points
  • 7th Place - $45,000 / 40 points
  • 8th Place - $40,000 / 20 points

The remaining teams will get a small portion of the prizepool, but will not get any Club Championship points.
