The $100k prize pool CDL Resurgence: Fortune's Keep is set to kick off on 15th October at 12 P.M. PT/3 P.M. ET. The tournament will feature the best Resurgence players from North America competing against the CDL teams and four Invited teams competing in Call of Duty: Warzone.

 

What is Call of Duty League Resurgence: Fortune's Keep?

Call of Duty League Resurgence: Fortunes' Keep is a North America Exclusive Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Mode tournament. The total announced prize pool of the event is $100K, with the first-place team winning $30K.

All the competitors participating are limited to North America and have to be above the age of 18 years. The players were able to register for the competition by signing into the Gamebattles to create their teams using Battle.net and Activision ID.

These teams will go through Open qualifiers, while only 64 out of these playing teams will make it to the Main Qualifiers. Out of these 64 teams, 16 teams will be invited to the main competition.

The qualified 16 teams will be divided into two groups of eight and compete against six CDL teams and two invited teams, making a total of 32 teams. Only 16 of these teams will play on the final day.

 

CDL Resurgence: Format

The competition can be divided into two stages Main Stage and the Qualifying stage. The interested teams had to register themselves on Gamebattles.

All these teams had ten days to play the CDL Resurgence playlist to garner points. The top 10 attempts were used for scoring to get the final 64 teams who'd play in the main qualifier.

The 64 teams in the main qualifier were divided into four groups, and eight teams from each group made it to the second stage of the qualifier. The second stage qualifier had the 32 qualified teams divided into two groups, where eight from each group qualified for the main stage.

The Main stage will have eight teams from Qualifiers alongside 6 CDL teams and 2 Invited teams playing in a series of all eight maps. Making two groups of 16 teams, out of which only 16 will make it to the finals days to be played on 16th October.

The points system used is 1 point per kill multiplied by the scaling factor based on your placement.

Final Score = No. Of Kills X Placement Multiplier

 

CDL Resurgence Points system

The same scoring system was used in the qualifiers and will be used for the CDL Resurgence: Fortune's Keep Main Stage.

 

Participating and Invited Teams:

A total of 741 participated in the In-Game Open qualifiers. Out of these, only 64 teams made it to the Qualifiers, of which 16 teams made it to the Main stage.  You can read the details about the participating teams and the teams that played here.

Additionally, 12 CDL teams will be invited, along with four teams invited by Activision comprising popular names like Swagg, Nadia, etc.

The broadcast will start at 12 P.M. PT on 15th October. The tournament will conclude on 16th October, where only 16 teams out of the 32 playing on the main stage will play.
