BLAST, the hosts of the upcoming Counter-Strike Major in Austin, has announced a new three-month partnership with Underdog, one of the fastest-growing fantasy sports companies in the United States. This collaboration will span three BLAST events in 2025: the BLAST Lisbon Open, BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 (earlier called the BLAST Rivals Monterry 2025), and the highly anticipated BLAST.tv Austin Major.

This isn’t just a logo slapped on a stream—Underdog is going all-in. From broadcast segments to in-person booths and digital integrations, this collab is set to be everywhere during these events.

Who are Underdog?

Founded in 2020, Underdog has quickly become a major player in the U.S. fantasy sports space. They’ve built their reputation on fantasy sports and pick’em games that are simple, mobile-friendly, and designed with fans in mind. Whether it’s daily fantasy drafts or pick-the-player contests, Underdog’s focus has always been on making gaming accessible, engaging, and fun—without overcomplicating things.

They’ve already carved out a strong presence in traditional sports like the NFL and NBA, but this new partnership with BLAST marks a major move into the world of esports.

Underdog Everywhere You Look

Underdog will show up on BLAST’s English broadcast with custom segments throughout the tournaments. You’ll also see their name popping up on digital overlays, venue signage, and even in BLAST’s own fantasy platform, BLAST.tv Fantasy.

That fantasy integration is a nice touch. Fans will be able to engage with Underdog while building their dream lineups, chasing prizes, and—of course—bragging rights. Plus, if you’re heading to the Austin Major in person this June, you’ll find an Underdog booth with live activations and giveaways to check out.

BLAST’s Chief Business Officer, Leo Matlock, shared his excitement:

“We’re really excited about this collaboration with Underdog, They are a brand who’ve been a key player in the innovative and growing, sports gaming space for some years. Underdog has chosen a blockbuster time to partner with BLAST ahead of our sold-out BLAST.tv Austin Major in June.”

Fantasy Mode Enchancements

BLAST.tv Fantasy, which first launched as “Major Manager” during the 2023 Paris Major, has grown fast. Since then, it’s racked up over 250,000 sessions and has about 10,000 active players this season alone. Fans clearly love putting together their own squads and trying to outscore their friends.

Fantasy sports have long been part of traditional sports culture, but seeing them integrated into esports—especially with support from a company like Underdog—adds a new layer of fun for viewers who want to be part of the action.

Underdog made their esports debut at the BLAST Open S1 in Lisbon earlier this year. They will next be seen at the BLAST Rivals S1, kicking off April 30th, where eight top-tier teams will fight for a $350,000 prize pool. And then it’s on to the big one: the BLAST.tv Austin Major, featuring 24 teams and a massive $1.25 million on the line.
