The VALORANT Esports Nations Cup is a two-tiered competition comprised of regional qualifiers followed by the main body of the tournament: a 32-team event held in November to crown the winning national team.

With the conclusion of the qualifiers, 14 national teams have emerged to join the ranks. Let’s look at all the teams attending the 2026 VALORANT Esports Nations Cup.

Limited Slots, Brutal Qualifiers

The selection of Head Coaches to the regional qualifiers began and spanned just over 2 months, an incredibly compressed schedule for any brand-new roster to conquer. This is evident in the lack of polish of many teams attending. But what is equally evident is the passion from every country's team, looking to represent their country well.

A total of 8 regional qualifiers were held, with 32 team slots allocated to each. Not a single qualifier saw full attendance as the best countries from each region were automatically given direct invites to the event in November, and from the remaining lot, only a few countries had enough talent or infrastructure to put together representation.

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
