All LCP Teams at Worlds 2026 and How They Qualified
The League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) has finalized its representatives for Worlds 2026 after a season in which qualification was decided through more than one path. The region's three spots were only settled in the closing stages of Split 3, bringing an end to a year-long race for a place at the World Championship.
Results from the final playoffs were not the only factor in that race, with performances across the season also playing a role. With the seeds now set, the LCP heads to the League of Legends World Championship in the United States with three very different qualification stories.
Which LCP Teams Are at Worlds 2026?
The three LCP teams that qualified for Worlds 2026 are Team Secret Whales, CTBC Flying Oyster and MVK Esports. Here are the lineups heading into the tournament:
| Team | Seed | Roster: Top / Jungle / Mid / ADC / Support |
|---|---|---|
| Team Secret Whales | 1 | Pun / Hizto / Dire / Eddie / Bie |
| CTBC Flying Oyster | 2 | Rest / Shad0w / POUT / Doggo / Kino |
| MVK Esports | 3 | Kratos / Gury / Chika / Harky / SiuLoong |
With all three spots decided, the LCP lineup is complete on the list of all teams qualified for Worlds 2026.
How Did the LCP Teams Qualify for Worlds 2026?
The LCP sent the top two teams from the Split 3 playoffs directly to Worlds 2026, while the third spot went to the highest-ranked remaining team in the season-long Championship Points standings.
That meant the final Split 3 standings were only part of the equation. Team Secret Whales and CTBC Flying Oyster reached the Grand Final to claim the two direct spots, while MVK secured the third seed through its Championship Points total.
How Do LCP Championship Points Work?
LCP Championship Points reward teams for their results across all three splits of the season. Once the two Split 3 finalists take the direct Worlds spots, the eligible team with the most remaining points also qualifies for the tournament.
In 2026, that system turned the final berth into a race between MVK Esports and GAM Esports. MVK finished with 76 points, while GAM ended the season with 66.
Seed 1: Team Secret Whales
Team Secret Whales entered Split 3 having already won the first two LCP titles of 2026. The team carried that form into the final stage of the domestic season, finishing the Swiss Stage with a perfect 3-0 record.
In the playoffs, TSW defeated GAM Esports 3-1 before sweeping CTBC Flying Oyster 3-0 in the upper-bracket final. That second victory guaranteed the team a direct place at Worlds and at least the LCP's second seed.
The same two teams met again in the Grand Final on August 30, and Team Secret Whales delivered another 3-0 victory. The result completed a three-peat of LCP titles in 2026 and secured the region's first seed for TSW.
The team also heads to Worlds after making an impression internationally earlier in the year. At MSI 2026, TSW defeated Top Esports 3-1, eliminating the LPL representative from the tournament in one of the event's biggest upsets.
Seed 2: CTBC Flying Oyster
CTBC Flying Oyster began the Split 3 playoffs in the upper bracket and opened its run with a 3-0 sweep of MVK Esports. The victory put CFO just one series away from securing a direct spot at Worlds.
Its first opportunity ended in defeat, as Team Secret Whales swept CFO 3-0 and sent the team to the lower bracket. On August 29, CTBC Flying Oyster met MVK again, this time with the LCP's final direct Worlds berth on the line.
CFO won the rematch 3-1 to confirm its place at the World Championship. A second 3-0 loss to Team Secret Whales in the Grand Final left CTBC Flying Oyster as the Split 3 runner-up and the LCP's second seed.
Seed 3: MVK Esports
MVK Esports did not need to reach the Split 3 Grand Final to qualify for Worlds. Its route depended on the Championship Points accumulated throughout the season, and a lower-bracket series against GAM Esports became crucial to that race.
After losing 3-0 to CTBC Flying Oyster in its playoff opener, MVK faced GAM in the lower bracket on August 22. A 3-2 victory eliminated its direct rival and took MVK to 76 Championship Points, compared with GAM's 66.
CTBC Flying Oyster could still have finished the season with a higher points total, but doing so required reaching the Grand Final, which would automatically give CFO one of the two direct Worlds spots. That combination of results meant MVK had already secured the berth awarded through Championship Points.
MVK's playoff run ended with a 3-1 loss to CTBC Flying Oyster in the lower-bracket final. Despite finishing third in Split 3, the team's season-long results were enough to secure the LCP's third seed at Worlds 2026.
Which LCP Team Plays in the Worlds 2026 Play-In Stage?
MVK Esports is the only LCP representative that will compete in the Worlds 2026 Play-In Stage. As the region's third seed, MVK must advance through the opening stage to join Team Secret Whales and CTBC Flying Oyster in the Swiss Stage.
The Play-In Stage will feature four teams in a double-elimination bracket played entirely as best-of-five series. Only one team will advance, completing the 16-team field for the Swiss Stage.
When Do the LCP Teams Start at Worlds 2026?
MVK Esports will be the first LCP team to play at Worlds 2026, starting on October 15 when the Play-In Stage begins at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles.
Team Secret Whales and CTBC Flying Oyster will begin their campaigns on October 23, when the Swiss Stage gets underway at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas.
The Swiss Stage runs from October 23 to 26 and October 28 to 31. The Knockout Stage will take place from November 3 to 8, also in Allen, before the Grand Final on November 14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. See the Worlds 2026 broadcast start times for every region.
