With the arrival of VALORANT Patch 9.11, the final patch of the year, Riot Games introduces a range of impactful updates aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience. While our previous article already covered the transformative changes to the ping system and Neon nerfs, this article will explore the rest of the patch in detail, highlighting the agent buffs, gameplay updates, and bug fixes that close out the year for VALORANT.

Vyse buffs: Razorvine and Arc Rose tweaks

Vyse receives some key adjustments in this VALORANT Patch 9.11, enhancing her ability to control space and improving the utility of her kit in fast-paced engagements.

Razorvine adjustments

  • Damage Increase: Razorvine damage per tick has been increased from 6 to 10, making it more punishing for enemies caught in its radius.
  • Reduced Vertical Drop Height: This ensures Razorvines that land on elevated objects no longer affect players unfairly.
  • New Effects: Razorvines now slow enemy dashes and concuss opponents, further solidifying Vyse as a defensive powerhouse.

These updates position Razorvine as a more reliable zoning tool, particularly useful for countering aggressive duelists and initiating enemy pushes.

Arc Rose improvements

  • Faster Equip Speed: After casting Arc Rose, Vyse can now pull out her weapon more quickly, allowing for smoother transitions into combat.

These quality-of-life changes make Vyse a more viable pick, especially in scenarios requiring precise crowd control and reactive gameplay.

Quality of life: Skin upgrade enhancements

The often-dreaded process of upgrading weapon skins has received significant improvements:

  • Players can now unlock multiple levels of a skin in a single transaction.
  • Reduced Upgrade Time: Skin upgrades now take only 5 seconds, a marked improvement over the previous lengthy process.

These changes streamline progression for players, allowing them to enjoy their cosmetic upgrades with minimal downtime.

Team Deathmatch updates: Regen Shield

Team Deathmatch has seen the introduction of a Regen Shield in Stage 1 starting in this VALORANT Patch 9.11, replacing the Classic's Light Armor. This shield restores itself over time, adding a fresh dynamic to TDM engagements by promoting sustained skirmishes and strategic positioning.

Bug fixes: Smoothing out the edges

VALORANT Patch 9.11 also resolves several long-standing bugs, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience:

  • Progression Fix: The "Play A Match" weekly mission no longer requires 100 matches to complete, addressing a frustrating progression barrier.
  • Social Panel Updates: Party chat messages and flags now have improved visibility and distinct appearances for clearer communication.

Looking Ahead

The aforementioned changes will take effect starting patch 9.11 scheduled for 10th December, 2024. With Patch 9.11 marking the final update of the year, Riot Games has set the stage for an exciting 2025. As we gear up for the ranked reset and a fresh competitive cycle, these changes aim to provide a balanced and polished environment for all players.
