The high-octane action of Rocket League is set to roar once more at the Esports World Cup in 2025, bringing electrifying competition, elite teams, and a massive $1 million prize pool to the global esports stage.

Schedule & Format

Group Stage (August 14-16)

  • Sixteen teams are split into four double-elimination groups.
  • The top two teams from each group will advance, making up the final eight for playoffs.

Playoffs (August 16-17)

  • The remaining teams battle in a single-elimination bracket.
  • August 16 will see fierce Quarterfinal matchups, while August 17 features the Semifinals, a Third-Place Match, and the all-important Grand Finals.

Prize Pool

The 2025 Rocket League Esports World Cup features a total prize pool of $1,000,000, distributed among the 16 teams as follows:

Additionally, there is a $10,000 MVP bonus awarded to the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Groups and Opening Matches

With Team BDS' championship-winning roster from the 2024 Esports World Cup now disbanded, the three players who lifted the trophy in Riyadh will instead compete in the 2025 event under different banners. The 16 qualified teams earned their spots based on RLCS Rankings as of June 29 with the following distribution:

  • Europe: 3 teams
  • North America: 4 teams
  • South America: 2 teams
  • Middle East & North Africa: 2 teams
  • Oceania: 2 teams
  • Sub-Saharan Africa: 1 team
