Riot Games Unleashes Teemo for 2XKO Season 0 Lineup

Riot Games has officially revealed Teemo as the tenth fighter in 2XKO, set to join the game’s roster and early access launch on October 7, 2025. Teemo’s arrival brings a unique blend of personality and strategic depth to the 2v2 tag fighting game, offering both longtime League of Legends fans and new players a new character to master.

Teemo’s Playstyle and Key Moves

Teemo’s fighting style in 2XKO draws directly from his League of Legends origins, focusing on setup-heavy, trap-based, and zoning gameplay. His toolkit includes laying traps, aiming his signature blow darts, and manipulating the battlefield with various obstacles.

Notably, Teemo’s “bush” mechanic enables what looks like an invisibility or teleportation mechanic and allows for surprise mix-ups, granting him powerful cross-up and combo opportunities.

His zoning abilities let him control space effectively, while his mix-up potential makes him a challenging foe for players unprepared for his mind games. His height and hitbox also offer tactical advantages, making him slippery to hit and unpredictable during matches.

The reveal trailer oozes with charisma and FGC nods, including direct homages to iconic moments like EVO Moment 37 and the infamous “Raging Demon” from Street Fighter. Teemo’s animations are lively and mischievous, capturing the essence of his infamous reputation from League of Legends. His super move showcases a “mushroom bombardment,” further highlighting his troll-like persona.

Impact on Meta and Competitive Scene

With Teemo’s arrival, the starting group of characters for 2XKO’s first season is now complete. Teemo’s skills let him set traps and disrupt opponents, which means players will come up with new team combinations and strategies. Top players already think Teemo could quickly change how pro matches are played.

As early access and big tournaments like EVO France begin, people expect Teemo to be important for teams trying to win. Teemo’s release makes matches more surprising and exciting, making the first season of 2XKO both fun and intense for everyone watching and playing.
