This amendment adds another layer of excitement to the Grand Finals day, allowing an additional team to secure a podium finish at one of the most prestigious Counter-Strike events of the year.
PGL CS2 Singapore Major 2026 Qualification Details and Format Changes
In addition to the announced 3rd-place decider, the CS2 Singapore Major will also adopt the Bo5 Grand Finals format, first introduced for the Budapest Major 2025.
PGL also confirmed the 32 teams qualification will be based on the VRS rankings published on November 2nd with the tournament itself kicking off on November 24th. This is another big change as previous VRS Majors’ invites were sent two months in advance.
This change not only ensures the latest competitive results are reflected in the team lineup, but also allows teams more time to grind the VRS points in case of a major roster shakeup.
PGL also announced the deadlines for team detail submission and tournament item (sticker) submission:
- November 6th - Team Detail Submission and Confirmation
- November 9th - Tournament Item Submission
32 teams will play the CS2 Singapore Major 2026 starting November 24th and concluding on December 13th for the Major title and a prizepool of $1.25 million USD. The Singapore Indoor Stadium will host the final four days of play.
The tickets for the tournament are live now. Check them out here.
