Overwatch Season 3 Midseason Patch Introduces Hero Balance Changes, Mauga Mythic Skin, and More
Overwatch Season 3's midseason patch is here, bringing with it several hero balance changes, bug fixes, Stadium updates, and the much‑awaited Mauga Mythic skin. While there are no major overhauls this time around, the hero balance updates include minor nerfs for Kiriko, Shion, Doomfist, and Sigma, alongside slight buffs for Vendetta, Ana, Lucio, and Reaper, among other adjustments.
Additionally, the seasonal Drive will run from August 6-10, allowing players to earn a new Signature and a substantial amount of Competitive Points.

Events

Summer Games 2026: Arcade modes like Lucioball, Lucioball Remix, and Winston's Beach Volleyball return with summer-themed challenges and loot. The event is now live and runs till July 30.

Junkrat’s Loot Hunt: This popular event will return from July 31-August 3, allowing players to earn Loot Boxes through flexible challenges. Progress carries over, with no daily pressure.

Excavation Initiative: The event, which began at the start of the season, will continue until Season 3 ends.
World Forger Mauga Mythic Skin
The midseason patch sees Samoan tank Mauga finally receive his first Mythic skin. This marks the third Mythic of Season 3, following the Ascendant Phoenix Illari and Tokyo Rebel Hanzo (weapon) skins.
The base skin costs 50 Mythic Prisms, with three additional customization tiers priced at 10 Prisms each and three Aspects at 20 Prisms each. Below are more details on the World Forger Mauga Mythic skin.
