FURIA's Post-FalleN Future in Doubt as YEKINDAR and molodoy Rumors Heat Up

FalleN's looming retirement may be the spark that ends FURIA's international CS2 project entirely.

On August 15, OverDrive sparked several rumors after suggesting that Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis and Danil "molodoy" Golubenko could both leave FURIA once Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo steps away from competitive play, a claim echoed the same day by CS2 NEWS, which reported the pair "could leave FURIA by the end of the season."

What OverDrive Said

According to the report, the exit talk isn't just idle chatter. "It's just that right now there are a lot of these rumors about FURIA, that the team might completely fall apart by the end of the season," OverDrive said. "And that players like YEKINDAR already has offers where to go next season, molodoy has offers where to go."

If accurate, that would mean two of the roster's most important pieces are already fielding interest from other organizations well before FalleN's playing career officially ends.

FalleN's Retirement Sets the Clock Ticking

FalleN announced back in April, on stage at IEM Rio 2026, that this would be his final year as a competitive player, closing out a career that includes two Major titles and stints with legendary rosters like SK Gaming and MIBR.

He made it clear at the time that FURIA's current group played a big part in convincing him to play one more season, but with that season now approaching its final months, questions about what comes next for the roster were inevitable.

A Rumor That Won't Go Away

This isn't the first scare for FURIA fans. Back in May, molodoy had to publicly shoot down speculation tying him to Aurora, telling YEKINDAR directly on "The YEKINDAR Show" that he had no plans to leave. Around the same time as this latest report, Brazilian insider Foxer_JJ suggested a full disband after the 2026 season is being discussed internally, though nothing is confirmed.

The stakes are high either way. Since going international in April 2025, when YEKINDAR replaced skullz and molodoy stepped in for chelo, FURIA has become one of the most dangerous rosters in the world, reaching finals at FISSURE Playground 2 and deep runs at events like PGL Astana 2026.

Losing FalleN was always going to force a rebuild, but losing YEKINDAR and molodoy in the same breath would gut the entire core built around him.

Only Rumors For Now

For now, this remains firmly in rumor territory, with no official word from FURIA, YEKINDAR, or molodoy. But with FalleN's exit date locked in and both players reportedly fielding outside offers, the pressure on FURIA's front office to lock in extensions, or accept a full reset, as the pressure is only going to grow as the season winds down.
