FISSURE Playground #2: Everything You Need to Know

After G2 Esports stunned the Counter-Strike world by upsetting Team Vitality at Wembley Arena, the action now shifts to Belgrade. The FISSURE Playground #2 will see 16 of the world’s best CS2 teams battle inside the Belgrade Arena from September 12–21, 2025, with $1,250,000 on the line.

Tournament Format

  • The event begins with a 16-team Swiss Stage (September 12–17), where every matchup will be a Bo3.
    • The top eight teams will move forward to the playoffs.
  • The Playoffs (September 19–21) will be played in a single-elimination format.
    • The quarterfinals and semifinals will be Bo3.
    • The grand final will be a Bo5 to crown the champions.

Swiss Stage Schedule

Fans should prepare for five intense rounds of Swiss competition.

  • Round 1: September 12–13 (10 am CET / 1 am PT start)
  • Round 2: September 14 (10 am CET / 1 am PT start)
  • Round 3: September 15 (10 am CET / 1 am PT start)
  • Round 4: September 16 (11 am CET / 2 am PT start)
  • Round 5: September 17 (11 am CET / 2 am PT start)

Every match will be crucial, as three wins secure playoff qualification, while three losses send teams home.

Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
