In the second week of VCT Pacific, Detonation FocusMe and Suggest took on The Korean Tigers GenG. After the Intense best-of-three series, DFM fell to GenG 1-2. In the post-game interview, Strafe had an opportunity to interview DFM’s Park “Suggest” Sang-min. In an exclusive post-game interview,  DFM Suggest talks about his performance, team’s performance and who he sees as the rivals.

Q. You guys played really well but could not close the game? What do you think went wrong with the game?

DFM Suggest:  “In advantageous situations we could not play well. I think that was a critical error. Additionally, our communications weren’t on par and that's why we lost”

Q. How is it playing the duelist role?

DFM Suggest: “Compared to the smoke characters, who are really important to the team and they can deny information. But duelist agents are really flexible, playing duelist is better”

Q. Do you think role changes are an issue with the team?

DFM Suggest: “First of all I was not a duelist before this. I played flash but during the practice with my coach, I got a lot of feedback from the coach about the role and about my play and I think it will help me”

Q. How well are you adjusting with the team?

DFM Suggest: “I have a lot of experience with offline matches so I will do well in any situations and I am adjusting well”

Q. What are your expectations from the team?

DFM Suggest: “Our teammates are doing really well. I really hope my teammates won’t hurry and make little mistakes and not hurry and play well”

Q. Who do you see as your Rival?

DFM Suggest: “This VCT Pacific is a League style tournament. So I see every team as the Rival but I am Korean so I see DRX as my biggest Rival.”

Q. You’d face RRQ in the next match. What are your thoughts about the team?

DFM Suggest: “I heard that RRQ is one of the weakest teams in the tournament but all the members perform really well so I don’t want to think that they are a weak team. So I want to practice well and make a few mistakes in the upcoming matches.”

DFM will face RRQ today. Neither team has secured a win at the event. But after the game, at least one team will come out on top.

Team Vitality CEO Neo: "For Us to be a Global Leader Means Being a Contender at EWC"

Team Vitality remains one of the most influential and well-known esports organizations to date. The Paris-based org fields over 20 esports teams in various esports, though their immensely impressive results in Counter-Strike take center stage.  Being one of the organizations present at Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, we managed to speak with Fabien "Neo" Devide, Co-Founder and CEO of the Hive, just after an interview with Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, at the opening press conference at EWC. Neo provided a ton of insight into the organization's participation at this year's edition of EWC in Paris. He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
