Just 2 days after the October 2 update introduced two new community maps, Transit and Rooftop, to the Wingman in CS2, Valve removed Transit from official matchmaking. While Rooftop remains accessible, Transit was pulled from the game in today's update due to multiple serious issues discovered after its addition.

Reasons Behind the Removal
Investigations by the community, including @Ozzny_CS2, revealed that Transit contained a racial slur and potential copyright infringements. Furthermore, the map featured advertisements for a real Russian memecoin called "FPIBank," which holds actual monetary value.
UPDATE: This is no longer a 'rumor', and it looks like the map also included adverts for some crypto project as well as an alleged Ponzi scheme 💀

Valve’s policies against unauthorized commercial content apparently played a key role in their decision to remove the map. These violations combined made the map unacceptable for official play.
Creator’s Statement on the Situation
Rikuda, one of the map’s creators, addressed the community about the removal, expressing regret and explaining the circumstances. They acknowledged the severity of the issue, calling it "incredibly stupid" and apologizing for unintentionally hurting anyone.
“The last thing I want to say is that I know it's very harsh to remove a map because of one entity, but it couldn't have been any other way: it was incredibly stupid. We worked on the map for over a year and are understandably upset by its removal… I didn't mean to hurt anyone, and only I am blocked from this community.”
Rikuda emphasized that the map’s assets – including graffiti and bar music – were all originally created or commissioned by the team, and only one problematic element caused the removal. Rikuda also expressed frustration that Valve did not notify the creators beforehand, as the problematic elements had already been removed from the workshop version of the map.

Future Possibilities
Along with Transit’s removal, Valve also updated the map Palacio to its latest workshop version, signaling an ongoing collaboration with community creators. While Transit’s current removal leaves a negative impression on many players and the developers, there is a chance the map could return after adjustments.
For now, Transit’s brief and troubled tenure serves as a cautionary tale about content scrutiny in CS2’s evolving map pool.
