A New Chapter Begins: karrigan Takes the Wheel at Team Falcons

The CS2 world just got a lot more interesting. Team Falcons have officially confirmed the signing of Finn "karrigan" Andersen as their new in-game leader, bringing in one of the most decorated IGLs in Counter-Strike history to steer a roster packed with elite firepower. The move comes at the expense of Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, who has been placed on the bench.

The End of an Era at FaZe

Karrigan's departure from FaZe Clan closes a significant chapter in his storied career.

The Danish veteran had been the heart and brain of FaZe's system for years, guiding the team to legendary achievements, including a Major title at PGL Antwerp 2022. But FaZe's failure to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major 2026 opened the door for a fresh start, and karrigan didn't hesitate to walk through it.

In his farewell message, he reflected on his time with the org with pride: he went back to make history, and by his own words, they did exactly that.

A Much Needed Change

Team Falcons have been one of the most talented yet inconsistent rosters in CS2. With names like NiKo, m0NESY, and kyousuke on the lineup, the individual ceiling is sky-high, but results haven't always matched the expectations.

kyxsan had been the IGL holding things together, but the team's recurring early exits from tournaments raised questions about the system's effectiveness. Reports suggest kyxsan's removal came from management's side rather than from within the team, adding an extra layer of complexity to an already tough situation for the Macedonian player.

Karrigan Brings Exactly What Falcons Are Missing

This is not a gamble, it's a calculated bet. Karrigan brings decades of IGL experience and a proven ability to unlock talent-heavy rosters.

He's done it at Astralis, at mousesports, and at FaZe, and now Falcons are hoping he can do it again with arguably his most gifted squad yet. The timing is strategic too: the IEM Cologne Major 2026 is on the horizon, and Falcons want to arrive as genuine contenders, not just dark horses.

With karrigan calling the shots, that ambition suddenly feels a lot more realistic.

A Roster Ready to Explode

The new-look Falcons lineup now features karrigan as the strategic cornerstone. That is a roster capable of beating anyone on any given day.

The question was never about talent, it was about structure and discipline under pressure. Karrigan has spent his entire career answering that exact question.

Falcons fans finally have a reason to believe this could be the run that changes everything.
