100 Thieves Claim Their First CS2 LAN Trophy
100 Thieves have done it. The American organization walked away as champions of the CS2 2026 Parken Challenger Championship #6. It was a long time coming, and it felt every bit as significant as it sounds.
Nobody really knew what to expect
100 Thieves re-entered the CS2 scene in late 2025 after years away from Counter-Strike, and the expectations were cautious at best.
The roster they built, however, was anything but modest. Legends Nicolai "device" Reedtz and Håvard "rain" Nygaard headlining the lineup, surrounded by younger talents André "Ag1l" Gil, William "sirah-" Kjærsgaard and Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren, with Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander calling the shots as head coach.
On paper, it looked great. On the LAN server in Denmark, it looked even better.
They didn't just win, they embarrassed the field
100 Thieves tore through the upper bracket without a single stumble. They swept BASEMENT BOYS 2-0 in the upper bracket semifinal, then took down Acend to secure a spot in the grand final from the winners' side. No detours through the lower bracket, no second chances needed.
The grand final told the same story. BASEMENT BOYS had earned their spot the hard way, grinding through the lower bracket with gutsy wins over A Great Chaos and eventually Acend. That kind of run deserved respect. But 100 Thieves closed it out 2-0 without letting the series get complicated, winning on Dust2 and Overpass, showing the kind of composure you'd expect from a roster headlined by two of Counter-Strike's all-time greats.
This one hits different for everyone on that roster
For device and gla1ve, both four-time Major champions, a LAN title is nothing new. But this one carries a different kind of weight. It is the first trophy for this version of 100 Thieves, the first proof that the project is working and that the pieces fit together the way the organization hoped when they rebuilt from scratch.
For rain, who has been one of the most beloved figures in Counter-Strike for over a decade, lifting a trophy in this new chapter is a moment worth celebrating. For Ag1l, sirah and poiii, three young players suddenly sharing a stage with legends, this is the kind of win that changes a career trajectory.
The rest of the scene is on notice
Running through the upper bracket clean, then closing out the grand final without breaking a sweat, does not happen from a team still figuring things out. This roster has chemistry, structure, and the kind of individual firepower that makes opponents uncomfortable from round one.
The CS2 world is paying attention now. And with a spot in the Parken Stadium Master on the line as part of the prize, the next chapter for this 100 Thieves lineup is already shaping up to be even bigger.
