Overview

LES Spring 2026 (full name: Liga Española de League of Legends 2026 Spring) is the Spring Split of Spain’s top-tier professional League of Legends competition. It forms part of the European Regional Leagues (ERLs) under Riot Games’ ecosystem and serves as a primary qualifier pathway to the EMEA Masters international tournament.

The league is organized by Lastlap (official website: https://lastlap.com/en), a Spanish events, marketing, and communication agency, in partnership with CABAL esports (https://cabalesports.com/), an independent entertainment and esports production company based in Madrid. LES is classified as a B-Tier event on Liquipedia and represents the highest level of domestic LoL competition in Spain. It succeeded the long-running Superliga (previously Superliga Domino’s) operated by LVP (Liga de Videojuegos Profesional, part of Mediapro).

The 2026 Spring edition featured eight teams competing online, with the top two finishers earning qualification to the EMEA Masters 2026 Spring Main Event. It is one of multiple splits in the annual LES calendar (alongside Kick-off/Winter and Summer).

History

The Liga Española de League of Legends (LES) launched in 2026 as the direct successor to LVP’s Superliga Domino’s, which had been Spain’s flagship LoL league for over a decade under various title sponsors. In late 2025, LVP faced significant challenges, including an ERE (workforce restructuring) and a decision to step away from organizing the national League of Legends competition. On November 27, 2025, Riot Games announced that Lastlap, in partnership with CABAL esports, would take over as the new operator starting with the 2026 season.

The 2026 season opened with a Kick-off Tournament (also referred to as Winter) held offline in Madrid from February 13–15, 2026, which doubled as an early qualifier for EMEA Masters Winter. This was followed by the Spring Split (the focus of this edition) and the ongoing Summer Split. The change aimed to refresh the product after years of community fatigue with the prior Superliga branding and production, while maintaining ERL status and international qualification paths.

• Format: Single round-robin among 8 teams. All matches best-of-three (Bo3).
• Top 4 teams advanced to playoffs based on series record (tiebreakers via game differential and head-to-head as needed).
• Circuit Points (CP) were awarded based on final regular-season placement, contributing to the annual LES standings.

Participating teams included Team Heretics Academy, Movistar KOI Fénix, Barça eSports, UCAM Esports, GIANTX iTero, LUA Gaming, Falke Esports, and UB Alma Mater.

Playoffs:

• Dates: June 3, 2026 – June 5, 2026.
• Location: Online (Spain, ES).
• Format: Single-elimination bracket with 4 teams. All matches best-of-five (Bo5). Included a third-place match.
• Top 2 teams qualified for the EMEA Masters 2026 Spring Main Event and received the bulk of Circuit Points.

Qualification to LES itself for future seasons involves a combination of performance, invitations, and promotion/relegation or open processes, with a dedicated 2027 Promotion tournament planned.

No significant cash prize pool was publicly listed for the split (reported as $0 on some trackers); rewards centered on Circuit Points, international qualification, and prestige within the Spanish and EMEA ecosystems.

Notable Editions

As the first full Spring Split under the new LES branding and organizers, the 2026 edition holds particular historical significance.
