This marks the third time Riot has spoiled its own announcements — first with Blitzcrank’s artwork appearing on an official page, and later when a Season Pass datamine uncovered Teemo as the tenth champion. What is Call of Duty?

Call of Duty, also known as COD is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game that has been enjoyed all over the world since 2003. It was originally created to be played on Windows OS, before the developers, Activision, decided to expand to other platforms.

How does Call of Duty work?

COD is a fast-paced shooter video game that involves two soldier teams (Divisions) consisting of 4 - 6 players trying to defeat each other using strategies, abilities, and weapons at their disposal. Many gamers prefer COD because it is class-based. That means they can build the soldiers they play with, and each player has its own set of weapons.

Is Call of Duty popular?

Call of Duty has since become popular within the esports scene. While players slug it out to win huge cash prizes, you too can win by betting on any of the different tournaments. Here, we will tell you everything you need to know about the latest Call of Duty betting tips and Call of Duty betting predictions.

How to get better at Call of Duty

Play the Campaign on Recruit. The Modern WarfareCampaign narrates a raw and gritty story about what war looks like today, and also teaches core mechanics. The most forgiving setting in Campaign is Recruit, because it minimizes overall damage and enemy A.I., making it easier to learn how to play the game. This allows you to enjoy the storyline while brushing up on the basics.

Adjust your Sensitivity and Aim Assist settings. Besides making sure your screen and audio settings are optimal, the two most important in-game settings are sensitivity, these impact how fast or slow your Operator moves. Aim assist is the built-in system that aids you in aiming a weapon at a target with precision. We recommend that those who are new players using controllers try Focusing Aim Assist if Standard, to difficult. In terms of sensitivity, test different horizontal and vertical settings to determine what works for you. If you are able to make micro-adjustments with your controller or mouse, try out a higher sensitivity. If it feels like you are turning too fast, turn it down to the low single-digits.

Learn your Loadout. Each weapon has different effective range, fire rate, and other variables that determine its strengths and weaknesses. In Multiplayer or Special Ops, you can see more detailed statistics by looking in the Weapons menu. But there is one rule of thumb to remember: Shotguns, submachine guns, and pistols work well at close range, assault rifles fill out the mid-range, and long-range gunfights are usually won with a light machine gun, sniper rifle, or marksman rifle.

Play a Private Match vs. Bots.  One of the most challenging things in COD is playing online mutliplayer, but you can get some practice first in private matches against A.I. opponents. Go into a Private Match to play any game mode you want on any map and face off against bots -- A.I. soldiers can have their difficulty changed to help you practice. Try using the default loadouts while in private matches, there are a versatile range of weapons that can cater to different playstyles.

Think like a Tier One Operator. The most successful players in Modern Warfare know the importance of taking calculated risks and staying alive. Reckless deaths will give the enemy the upper hand, so it's best to use a tactical strategy and review all options before heading into combat. You will learn this while playing the Campaign, but playing cautious may cause less deaths compared to charging forward without a strategy.

Intel is powerful, both in-game and out. With a higher “COD IQ,” you have knowledge of the game and how it works. This helps you beat highly skilled players. Stay up to date with the Activision Games Blog to see useful guides - these include basic movement tips to mode and map specific tactics that will improve your COD IQ.

Play in Gunfight mode. If you're not sure which weapon works best for you, you can get a sampling of each one. Whether you set up games in private matches or have trial by fire in a public match, Gunfight is a great mode to assimilate various weapons quickly. Use this as a way to test out different weapons and attachments that are chosen at random. Take note of the ones that work best for you, as this could lead to an idea for your new favorite loadout.
